help identifying bed bug bites

we've been dealing with a bed bug problem off and on in our apartment ever since we moved in (sept.) i was bite free for a few months, but then last night we found a bed bug crawling in the living room. i now i have about 6 bites on my chest and one on my face.

my roommate was telling me that when you get bit by a bedbug, there is always blood and there is a scab or a hole where they bit you.. but my bites are just little welts, like mosquito bites. i didnt have any blood and there are no scabs. so my question is whether or not these are actually bed bug bites or if they are something else?

ive never had to deal with bedbugs up until a few months ago so im still pretty new to this and dont know much! thanks!
